CSD Racing Products tube adapters, AKA “bungs”, are CNC machined from alloy steel for precision and versatility. Flat-Nose Tube Adapters are designed for butt-joining one tubular structure to another, or to a flat bracket or structure. The flat nose of the adapter provides a precise, flat surface for the structure to seat against, using fasteners threaded into the adapter. An indexing ring on the outside diameter of the adapter provides precise, repeatable indexing of the bung into the tube. The ring is beveled where it joins the end of the tube, to allow excellent weld penetration.
This particular adapter is designed for use with 1.25″ OD X .065″ wall tubing, with a 3/8″-24 threaded hole. At CSD Racing Products, we developed this bung specifically for attaching strong but light-weight nerf bars to our UTV race vehicles. But they’re perfect for any project that calls for a structure of thin-wall DOM tubing.
