CSD Racing Products tube adapters, or “bungs”, are CNC machined from alloy steel for precision and versatility. An indexing ring on the outside diameter of the adapter provides precise, repeatable indexing of the bung into the tube. The ring is beveled where it joins the end of the tube, to allow excellent weld penetration. The adapter is tapered at the end for misalignment clearance. The flat nose of the adapter provides a precise surface for seating the jam nut.
This particular adapter is designed for use with 1.75″ OD X .120″ wall tubing, with 1.25″-14 threads to accept a 1.25″ rod end (aka Heim joint). The adapter has milled flats for using a wrench to tighten rod end jam nuts. Comes in right- and left-hand thread. The left-hand-threaded unit is easily identified by a groove machined into the tapered end.
