Description
MXP: The 6″ colour TFT dash logger
MXP offers 50% more display area than the 5” MXS display, in a similar dimension. The dash logger has an integrated shift array, configurable multicolor alarms, drag and drop multi page configuration, Wi-Fi and USB connectivity, GPS Module, inertial platform, analog and digital inputs, digital outputs, Motorsport connectors, 4 GB of internal memory, 1,000Hz per channel sampling and support for over 1,000 ECU connections.
A wide range of data sources
MXP samples data coming from your ECU, the GPS Module, the 9 axis inertial platform (accelerometer, gyro and magnetometer), 8 fully configurable analog inputs, 6 digital inputs, predefined math channels and second CAN. Performance and data acquired can also be incremented adding up to eight expansion modules. Click the icons and learn more:

Second CAN
AiM MXP Strada MXP is also available in its STRADA version, a dash for road use, with similar characteristics but without logging feature.
Freely configurable pages
You can define all the custom pages you wish, choosing among a wide library of page styles, defining which data to be shown, their end of scale and measure units. Swapping between pages can be managed pushing one or two pushbuttons.
High contrast TFT display
A high contrast TFT display identifies MXP at the first glance. An ambient light sensor keeps the backlight at optimum brightness levels. Flexible alarms & custom street icons MXP features five configurable RGB alarm LEDs: you choose the conditions, you choose the colors. Select a solid alarm or flashing one – and the flashing frequency, choose to have an accompanying text message, and set the alarm priorities. Furthermore you can select the street icons you need among the wide list you will find in “Race Studio 3 – Icons Management” and set them up the way you prefer or according with your needs. Any of them is fully configurable and if this shouldn’t be enough, you will be able to upload and set up your own customized icons.
Two digital outputs
MXP features two digital outputs. The two digital outputs (Dout) are LOW SIDE type (switch to ground): they can be configured in order to be turned on/off depending on the value of the analog or digital inputs. They permit to automatically run external systems, i.e. to switch on/off additional lights, to activate/de-activate a cooling fan or circulation pumps, etc. when a certain event happens.
Camera inputs, also for mirror camera
Two analog camera inputs are available, to swap your display into a mirror camera, through pushbutton command or event management.
Integrated shift light array
Choose from a host of advanced multicoloured RGB shift light patterns that can be customized as you like, and for each unique gear when required.
Expand the system according to your needs
Using the built-in CAN bus, you can add expansion modules to the MXP to increment the performance and the data acquired:
- GPS08 Module – Thanks to GPS08 Module (included in the kit) and its Race Studio 3 software, you can immediately get laptimes and all data needed for engine tuning as well as for improving driving technique.
- Channel Expansion – It permits to add 4 0-5Volt analog channels for pressure, temperature sensors and potentiometers. Two of these channels can be configured to receive digital inputs like wheel speed.
- TC Hub – It adds 4 K thermocouples.
- LCU-One CAN – Wide band Lambda controller LCU-One, with Bosch LSU 4.9 probe, providing all Air/Fuel data and lambda value, allows to perfectly tune the carburetion. LCU-One CAN
- SmartyCam HD cameras – The on-board cameras that overlays on videos the data sampled by your logger. SmartyCam HD Rev.2
- Memory Module – The Memory Module is a small SD Card holder that can be connected via CAN bus to your AiM logger in order to record the data during your tests. Memory Module

These are only some of the items that can be added to our MXP for incrementing the performance and the data acquired:
CAN output
With the CAN Output you can send messages directly to an existing CAN network in order to improve the range of vehicle control possibilities.
Race Studio 3, the almighty software
Race Studio 3 is the heart of your MXP, managing all your activities related to:
CONFIGURATION
With Race Studio 3 you can create, modify, delete, import and export configurations with all channels, ECU drivers, Math channels, Display Pages, Digital outputs, Alarms, Shift Lights and all the expansions you need. You will also be able to manage the map of all your racing tracks and compare two laps watching the video recorded by SmartyCam HD cameras. Check out how to use Race Studio 3 with AiM LearnFast E-training Series.
ANALYSIS
Analysis With Race Studio 3 you can also analyse all data recorded by MXP and downloaded to your PC: graphs, histograms and tables will help you study your performance, providing an objective support to avoid mistakes and improve performances.
